The Vice President will be in Washington, DC where she will receive briefings and conduct internal meetings with staff. These meetings will be closed press.

At 4:30 PM ET, the Vice President will deliver a eulogy at the Lying in State Ceremony for former President Jimmy Carter. Then, the Vice President and the Second Gentleman will present a wreath on behalf of the Executive Branch. These remarks and the wreath laying at the U.S. Capitol will be open to pre-credentialed media.
