CoB Approved an ordinance authorizing a monthly lease payment to Williams Scotsman, Inc for the lease of a mobile modular building used for Health Department offices

On Thursday, the Baytown City Council approved a 2-year ordinance to continue the month-to-month lease payment of $1,947.91 to WillScot for office space (referred to as “Quad”).

The Quad office space is located at 1200 Lee Drive and is utilized by the Health Department’s Community Service, Clean Team, and Mosquito Control staff. The original lease agreement has expired, and Council approval is needed to continue the month-to-month lease payment of $1,947.91 for no more than 2 years so a viable office replacement can be determined.

Amount has been budgeted for current fiscal year in the total amount of $23,374.92.
According to WillScot, the purchase price of the existing building would be between $320-$400k.
