City Council Approved the Renewal of VMware vSphere Enterprise Licensing and Support

BAYTOWN – On Thursday, approved the proposed ordinance that authorizes payment for renewal of VMware vSphere Enterprise Licensing and Support for all City servers to SHI/Government Solutions, Inc., through the Texas Department of Information Resources for $81,060.00 for 1 year.

SHI offers VMware vSphere Enterprise Licensing and Support under Texas DIR Contract Number DIR-TSO-4317. VMware vSphere provides the City with the licenses and support necessary to operate and maintain the City’s virtualized server infrastructure. This infrastructure powers essential services and functions used in every City department.
