Goose Creek CISD Teachers Honored at 2025 HAABSE Teacher Awards & Recognition Ceremony
Goose Creek CISD proudly recognized its outstanding educators who were recently honored at the 2025 Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators (HAABSE) Teacher Awards & Recognition Ceremony (TARC). They were also recognized during the district’s school board meeting on February 17, where the community celebrated the dedication and excellence of these remarkable teachers.
HAABSE, established in May 1986, is an affiliate of both the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE) and the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE). Through its expansive network, HAABSE members share professional services and intervention strategies designed to improve the educational environment for Black youth and educators. Its mission centers on fostering academic excellence among all students while providing leadership and resources to institutions, agencies, and communities supporting student success.
