North Main Street Pavement Preservation Project
Road crews are repairing damaged concrete panels along North Main Street, spanning from Highway 146 to I-10. These repairs, part of the Concrete Preservation Program, extend the lifespan of our streets and save taxpayers thousands of dollars compared to full street reconstruction. The project is structured in three phases, with completion expected by the first quarter of 2025.
The northbound lanes of North Main, from Archer Road to Hunt, are open to ensure smooth traffic flow during the holiday season. Construction crews will resume operations and reinstate lane closures starting Monday, January 6.
Starting Monday, October 28, crews will begin concrete repairs on the northbound lanes of North Main, from Archer Road to I-10. Phases one and two, covering Highway 146 to Archer Road, have already been completed.
