Baytown Police Investigate Homicide of Female Teen
The Baytown Police Department is investigating the homicide of a female teen that occurred Friday, March 21, 2025 at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Village Lane after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a female teen near the playground with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until medics arrived, and she was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. A female bystander, who had been holding her baby, sustained an injury from the fired rounds. Both the female bystander and her baby were taken to the hospital for evaluation and were later cleared of any injuries.

Detectives continue to gather evidence as the investigation remains ongoing.
