City Council authorized amendments to the existing agreements with The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Be Well Baytown to update terms, expand services, and enable reimbursement capabilities for eligible expenses during Fiscal Years 2025 and 2026.
This proposed ordinance authorizes:
- Amendment No. 4 to the Services Agreement with The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (“MD Anderson”)
- Updates the Lead Implementer/Coordinator to oversee services.
- Updates the total payment amount to not exceed $1,024,118, contingent on timely achievement of specified objectives.
- Revises the fee schedule (Exhibit C-1) and extends the agreement term to August 31, 2026, with an option for further extension by mutual agreement.
- Amendment to the Agreement with Be Well Baytown
- Enables reimbursement capabilities for eligible program expenses incurred during Fiscal Year 2025 and Fiscal Year 2026.
- Establishes reimbursement limits:
- FY 2025: Up to $52,150
- FY 2026: Up to $38,150
- Specifies eligible expenses, including program materials, staffing, and operational costs tied to public health initiatives, with detailed invoices and quarterly reporting required for reimbursements.
