House Adopts Rules for the 119th Congress
WASHINGTON — Today, following Speaker Johnson’s re-election and the swearing in of Members, the House adopted rules that will govern the operations of the 119th Congress.
In addition to the procedural rules, the package contains 12 priority pieces of legislation to be considered on the House floor individually in the coming weeks. The legislation makes clear that House Republicans will deliver on their promises of securing the border, unleashing American energy, protecting American elections, protecting innocent life, and returning to common sense.
