Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1251 Wilcrest Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1251 Wilcrest Drive about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 19).

The identity of the victim, believed to be 20 to 30 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective C. Bowling reported:

Officers were dispatched to a person found deceased call at the apartment complex at the above address and learned a passerby reported seeing a male lying underneath a vehicle in the parking lot.  When paramedics arrived, they discovered the male was deceased and had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

There is no known suspect description or motive in the shooting at this time.
