An elevated golf experience is coming to Baytown with the introduction of a new Tabbs Bay Disc Golf course, set along the outer perimeter of Tabbs Bay Ball Golf Course (formerly T36).

This free-to-play disc course will be open to the public, offering a fun and accessible recreational and competitive option for all. While it remains a separate amenity provided by Parks and Recreation, the course is a collaborative effort with Tabbs Bay to enhance the range of public offerings.

Course designers Chris Vandagriff and Scotty Linthicum finalized and set tee box and basket positions on the course this week, as the concrete work is slated to begin as soon as next week.

The Tabbs Bay (Red) Course is designed with a recreational and intermediate skill set in mind. However, the course will also appeal to and challenge upper levels of play, as it includes creative and unique features and amenities that have been integrated into the design. In addition to the 18 hole “RED” course, the designers have created and implemented 2 additional 9 hole courses within the same footprint. “BLUE” (Advanced) and “GOLD” PRO level 9 hole tracks share baskets with the RED course to add several longer Par 3’s and Par 4’s. It was important to the designers and to the integrity of the course that this was considered from inception.
