Trustees honor talented young artists in annual Christmas card contest
At the December 16 meeting, the Barbers Hill Board of Trustees celebrated the artistic achievements of students across the district by honoring the winners of the annual Christmas Card design contest. The event showcased the exceptional creativity of students from all grade levels and highlighted a Barbers Hill High School freshman who has become a fixture in the winner’s circle.
Lily Lide, a ninth-grader, was named the district-wide winner of this year’s contest, earning a $100 gift card for her exceptional design. Lide’s artwork will be featured on the district’s official Christmas card, which will be sent to community members and partners, spreading holiday cheer far and wide. HSDistrictWinner-LilyLide9th.pdf
This latest accolade continues Lide’s impressive streak in the contest. She was the top Christmas Card artist at Middle School South for three consecutive years, and prior to that, she earned the top spot at Elementary School South.
In addition to Lide, runners-up from each campus were recognized and awarded $25 gift cards for their outstanding entries. The honorees are:
