Vice President JD Vance Meets With European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen

PARIS, FRANCE – Today, Vice President JD Vance met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in Paris. The three leaders discussed the peaceful resolution of conflicts around the globe, including halting the carnage in Ukraine, and cooperation between the United States and the European Union on security issues. The Vice President emphasized the importance of fair and reciprocal trade between the United States and the European Union. The Vice President also discussed the Trump Administration’s efforts to unleash American energy.
